Projects hold the data, files, and knowledge Addison works from. Everything an Addison conversation can see is scoped to one project, so most integrations start here: create or find a project, put files in it, attach the tables you want visible. Product-side docs: Projects. Excel workbooks and HTML artifacts are ordinary project files: read and write them with the file-content endpoints below, not a dedicated API. See Excel and HTML.

Open and edit

GET /v1/projects/{project_id}/files/{file_id}/content

Download the workbook’s content.

PUT /v1/projects/{project_id}/files/content

Create or overwrite the workbook’s content. Send the binary .xlsx with encoding: "base64" (raw bytes corrupt the file), and supply exactly one of path or file_id.

Rename or edit a project

PATCH /v1/projects/{project_id}

There’s no view-only option on this endpoint, so use the Share dialog for org-wide read-only.

Delete a project

DELETE /v1/projects/{project_id}

Delete a project. Requires confirm=true.

Import

POST /v1/projects/{project_id}/files/uploads

Create a presigned upload.

POST /v1/projects/{project_id}/files/uploads/{upload_id}/finalize

POST /v1/projects/{project_id}/files/{file_id}/imports

Import the finalized file into an analyzable table, required before a CSV can be queried. The curated MCP tool is import_file_to_table.

Attach a table or view to the project’s catalog.

GET /v1/projects/{project_id}/catalog-entries

List the tables and views attached to the project.

DELETE /v1/projects/{project_id}/catalog-entries/{catalog_entry_id}

Detach a table or view from the project.
Attaching a data connection links an existing tenant-wide table or view into the project’s catalog (the curated MCP tool is attach_catalog_entry):
